Jess Robinson
Senior Architect
Jess is an Architect with a passion for Heritage and Education projects, with a focus on retrofit and sustainability. She believes the best buildings are those that are co-created with their end-users and is strongly committed to ensuring social value is prioritised through inclusive design.
Jess thrives on the complexities that architectural projects present and enjoys the challenge of finding innovative solutions to intricate design problems.
She has experience working across a broad range of sectors, including Higher Education, Commercial, and Heritage. Prior to joining Useful Studio, she worked at dMFK Architects working on various commercial fit-out projects, assisting clients in their path to net-zero whilst adding value to assets through creative retrofit. She has also worked at Chapman Architects delivering a 28,000sqft commercial building on an infill site in Marylebone involving the retention of a historic façade and extension of additional floors, and at Panter Hudspith Architects on various faculty buildings for the University of Buckingham.
Jess is also a fourth-year design tutor at Cardiff University.
