• Circular Economy Statement

An in depth review with adaptability studies, material reuse and designing for disassembly.

Business as usual in the built environment is based on a linear economy: material extraction, manufacturing, use and finally disposal as waste. A circular model removes the idea of waste, instead materials are re-used, re-purposed or re-cycled back into circulation.

In partnership with our sister company Useful Projects, we have authored a Circular Statement for the Round Foundry Zero Carbon Refurbishment project in Leeds. The report has captured our work through Stages 0-3 in circular design principles and supports our BREEAM Outstanding Tracker requirements.

Building on our contributions to the Circular Primer for the Greater London Authority (GLA) we included the following studies with our Statement; Designing for Material Efficiency, Adaptability and Disassembly Studies, and Design out Waste.
